September 2022 Playlist

September 2022 playlist montage

Even having been a bit less active this month I’ve still had lots of music going on from a range of sources to add to my playlist which you can listen to on Spotify by clicking here.

When it comes to new stuff I’ve got tracks from Sick Militia, Volleyball, Charles Stenner and The Interrupters, and I had hoped to include some Eloise Fabbri but her new EP isn’t on Spotify yet (but there is a video further down the page).

Following the rather epic Taylor Hawkins tribute concert I’ve got some Foo Fighters, along with, unrelated to that, Queen, Metallica, Brian Setzer, Toto and The Reverend Horton Heat.

And to go with my slightly accidental Kevin Smith movie season some Weezer, Love Among Freaks, The Mighty Mighty Bosstones and Soul Asylum.

As ever the playlist is embedded below or can be found on Spotify by clicking here.

Playlist

  • Sick Militia – Death Marches (from The Next War)
  • Volleyball – Kitua Fortune (from Kitua Fortune EP)
  • Charles Stenner – Sun Comes Up (single)
  • Foo Fighters – My Hero (from The Colour And The Shape and as heard at the Taylor Hawkins Tribute Concert)
  • Brian Setzer & The Nashvillains – Peroxide Blonde In A Hopped Up Model Ford (live) (from Red Hot And Live)
  • The Reverend Horton Heat – Bales Of Cocaine (from The Full Custom Gospel Sounds Of…)
  • Metallica – Fade To Black (from Ride The Lightning)
  • The Interrupters feat Tim Armstrong and Rhoda Dakar – As We Live (from In The Wild)
  • Queen – Hammer To Fall (from The Works and as heard at the SOPM Under 18 Battle Of The Bands)
  • The Living End – Prisoner Of Society (live) (from Roll On)
  • Love Among Freaks – Clerks (as heard in Clerks)
  • Weezer – Sussane (as heard in Mallrats)
  • The Mighty Mighty Bosstones – The Impression That I Get (as heard in Chasing Amy)
  • Soul Asylum – Misery (as heard in Clerks 2)
  • Toto – Rosanna (from Toto IV and as heard at the SOPM Under 18 Battle Of The Bands)

Along with those I’ve got a few bonus videos this month – first up comes from the previously mentioned Taylor Hawkins tribute concert when Taylor’s son Shane joined Foo Fighters on stage for a rendition of My Hero

Also, following its apparent surge in popularity and noterity on Tik Tok, and to mark the end of the latest leg of their Imperatour, Ghost released a live video of their song Mary On A Cross

And finally the video to a track I’d hoped to include in the main playlist, from Eloise Fabbri’s new RAW (Live) EP, this is a live in the studio version of her song Beauty
